Ego is a Melbourne-based digital artist working across a wide range of media including video, projection, augmented and virtual reality, print, web and audio-visual performance.

Best known for colourful, high impact visuals, Ego’s work explores themes of escapism, crafting fantastic new worlds or illuminating the treasures in this one. He is forever on the leading edge of his craft, blending and forging techniques to create unique results, inspiring audiences and peers alike.

He’s produced large mapped projections at Sydney’s Vivid Festival, exhibited at Hobart’s MONA FOMA, built trampoline-powered flight simulators and augmented reality murals. He created a live painted x projection mapped stage show with mural artist Claire Foxton. Teaming with Touch Sensitive the pair produced a world-first instagram-sourced song and music video.

His creative vision keeps him in high demand as an artistic director for a swathe of musicians from Matt Corby to Mat Zo. While his animation skills have seen him work on music videos and visuals for artists such as Chainsmokers, Jessica Mauboy, DMA’S and Nina Las Vegas. He was visual designer on Groove Terminator’s ‘History of House’, winner of Best Music Show award at Adelaide Fringe, and his work with Heaps Decent winning a Real World XR Award.

He's toured internationally as an audio-visual DJ, from festivals in South Africa to art galleries in Colombia, as well as main stages at Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass and Field Day. His innovative use of visuals within his sets saw global DJ brand Serato make him an ambassador for their software. Ego was an Australian finalist in the 2016 Redbull Thre3Style DJ competition.
